Hello Arroyo Partners:
It is early October and yesterday in the RGV, we set at least 2 high heat temperature records in Weslaco and McAllen. It is hot! I hope that are neighbors in Florida and along the East Coast survive Hurricane Mathew. It is a category 4 Hurricane and it looks like it will be creating havoc for the next several days.

- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 100 volunteers needed to staff Rio Reforestation 2016
Join us on Saturday, October 15, 2016 for the 25th Anniversary of Rio Reforestation. We are looking for Master Gardeners & Master Naturalists to help staff this event. Hours can be counted towards your annual requirement. We will have one organizational meeting prior to the event. Arrival time on date of event is 7AM. Most planting is done by 11AM. The Red Tide that had reached SPI and entered into the LLM is all but gone. I am really looking forward to getting some fishing time in next week and the Red Drum Run is just around the corner. We just need one good cold front to drop the temperature in the bay and the drum start running. I love Fall fishing!
