SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – The Valley Environmental Coalition will be hosting the 9th Annual Valley Environmental Summit on Friday, September 21 from 8:30am - 3:30pm. This year’s Summit “Our Environment…Less Thinking More Doing” will be held at the South Padre Island Convention Centre located at 7355 Padre Boulevard.
The Summit will feature Legislative Education Updates, breakout sessions to include Climate Change and its Impact, Farming and Water, Active Response to Zika, Desalination, Illegal Dumping and Cleanups, and Arroyo Colorado Protection Plan. The Valley Environmental Summit is held to bring together the general public, political leaders, neighborhood associations, nonprofits, businesses, and students. Attendees will come together to identify environmental issues and come up with solutions to those issues impacting the quality of life and environment in communities throughout the valley.
The Valley Environmental Coalition is a 501c3 organization whose mission is to create a venue where attendees can come together and highlight the most important environmental issues. The event is free to participants, however seating is limited. Registration is required. Please register to attend the Summit at www.valleyes.us
