Hello Arroyo Partners,
On July 17th, the Arroyo Colorado Watershed Partnership and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a free Texas Watershed Steward workshop in Weslaco. Water quality related to the Arroyo Colorado watershed, along with land and watershed management, will be discussed. Topics will include water quality, water quality law, agricultural and urban best management practices, hydrology, and others. A free lunch will be provided for attendees that preregister by end-of-day, July 15th or when room capacity is reached. Light refreshments will also be provided. The event and it’s available continuing education credits are free and open to the public. The professional continuing education credits offered are applicable to, but are not limited to, certified crop advisors, Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide license holders, professional engineers, certified planers, landscape architects, professional geoscientists, certified teachers, certified floodplain managers, and select TCEQ occupational license holders.
The workshop will take place from 8:30am to 12:30pm on Wednesday, July 17th at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center located at 2401 US-83 BUS, Weslaco, TX 78596.
