Llano Grande Lake Restoration Project

The Llano Grande Lake, a water body in the lower reaches of the Arroyo Colorado acts as a natural silt trap. The lake has been identified as a critical measure to meet water quality objectives for the Arroyo Colorado. Through this project, the Partnership will collect sediment data and investigate the best option for sediment removal necessary to restore up to 4.2 miles of the Llano Grande Lake.

The project is funded by a WaterSMART Cooperative Watershed Management Program from the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation.
