Arroyo Colorado Watershed Partnership meeting – Weslaco
The next Arroyo Colorado Watershed Partnership meeting is right around the corner on May 15 at 8:30 AM. The meeting will be held at the Weslaco AgriLife Research and Extension Center in the Vegetable Research and Education Building (map to the building). Look for the “Arroyo Meeting” signs outside the building and in the lobby pointing you toward the meeting room.
It has been quite a while since the last partnership meeting, so this one will cover quite a bit of ground. Topics will include ongoing watershed protection plan implementation updates, discussion of agricultural issues and activities, and discussion of needs related to stormwater management to protect water quality and provide additional benefits. We will also have some focused discussions for each identified topical working group: Agricultural Issues, Habitat Restoration, Education and Outreach, and Wastewater Infrastructure. The meeting will wrap up with a brief overview of future implementation items.
