The Lower Rio Grande Valley (LRGV) hosts a diverse array of flora and fauna. As stated in our WPP, “Migration routes converge in the LRGV, making it the most popular destination in North America for bird and butterfly watching.”
The Arroyo Colorado serves as an importance bird sanctuary for many local and migratory birds. Visit local World Birding Centers, state parks, and wildlife refuges to spot different bird and butterfly species!
